What is Threading?

The practice originates from Middle Eastern, Arabic and South Asian cultures. It is achieved by tying a cotton thread around the neck and creating a ‘shuttle’ that traps hair in its path! Sensitive skin can enjoy hair removal without experiencing severe redness, burns, blisters or breakouts! The work is much more precise which provides a cleaner, longer lasting result! Check out our Services page for details!

What does Threading feel like?

For most, it feels like a rubber band rubbing against the skin or no different than tweezing. If you have very low pain tolerance we offer application of an over the counter anesthetic to make your experience more comfortable.

What is the difference between Waxing vs.Threading?

Waxing removes sections of hair at a time, but it can also be less precise and more traumatic on the skin. The repetitive pulling is proven to loosen collagen and elasticity resulting in thinner skin over time. Threading traps rows of hair from the root with precision, while preserving the skin's integrity.

Is Threading safe?

Absolutely! It is an art of hair removal that has been practiced since ancient times! But there are some people, although rare, who are hyper-sensitive and may experience welts, redness, flare ups and small pustules around the threaded area. Proper after care is strongly advised to lessen these side effects.

I am hyper-sensitive. Can I still get threaded?

Its completely up to you as long as you are prepared for the possible side effects. If you wish to have the hair removed, you must be willing to follow after care instructions, should any side effects occur. Most hyper-sensitive individuals recover after 3-5 days.

Do you work with all skin tones?

YES! Our experience allows for diverse but always extraordinary makeup services that feels weightless, wears well and looks completely flawless no matter your skin tone, age, ethnicity or makeup preference!

Do I need to prep for my makeup service?

A freshly washed, moisturized face and an idea of what you want your makeup to look like helps. We highly recommend our Eyebrow Specialty services to get those brows is awesome shape before your event! We can't stress enough about the importance of good brows!

Do you offer air brush makeup?

Not currently, but due to our strong blending skills, we get feedback that our work looks airbrushed! We've been applauded many times for being one the best ‘blenders’ in San Antonio by photographers and clients!

What do On-Location Makeup services entail?

We pack our bags, products, kits, chairs and travel to you so you are 100% comfortable at the comfort of your own home or requested location! Travel fees apply for on site makeup services.

Wow this makeup isn't coming off! How do I remove it?

Cleansing oil, cold cream, or a good quality food grade oil such as coconut, grapeseed or olive work best for breaking down makeup. Foolproof makeup may need repeat cleanses. Once makeup is off, you can wash your face with your regular cleanser and follow your skin care routine as usual.
